Job Overview 

We are looking for a hardworking and experienced Cable Technician to join our team. 

As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for installing cables in the buildings, residential areas, etc. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and fixing any issues in the cable system which includes television systems, routers, or industrial systems. 

In addition to this, you should be installing equipments, setting ground cables as well as working on the poles. Working knowledge as a Cable Technician or a similar role will be an advantage for this position. 

You should possess excellent communication skills as well as a good ability to lift heavy objects. Also, you should be a highly organized and motivated individual.

Responsibilities 

• Installing cables as per the specifications. 

• Maintaining and repairing the cable and internet systems. 

• Identifying faulty cables and replacing them. 

• Testing the newly installed cables. 

• Following all the cable installation procedures and principles. 

• Wearing safety goggles and safety equipment all the time. 

• Utilizing cable support structures. 

• Interacting with the clients and answering questions, if needed. 

• Repairing cable towers and poles. 

• Completing all the required paperwork such as timesheet, service orders, and other log files. 

• Keeping the work areas clean and tidy. 

• Collaborating with the Inventory Manager for supply replenishment. 

• Operating various power tools, hand tools, and other equipment. 

• Working smoothing with Cable Installer and other team members. 

• Adhering to all the safety rules and regulations. 

Requirements 

• High school diploma or GED. 

• Work experience as a Cable Technician, or a similar role in the Construction Industry. 

• A valid driver's license is mandatory. 

• Good communication skills. 

• Exceptional ability to follow all the instructions. 

• Demonstrate the ability to work under stressful conditions. 

• Excellent physical stamina. 

• Ability to lift heavy loads and objects. 

• Good hand-eye coordination. 

• Outstanding knowledge of AC and DC circuits. 

• Excellent knowledge of cable tools and installation. 

• Exceptional customer service skills. 

• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks. 

• A close eye for detail for precision.
