Job Overview

We are looking for a professional Construction Worker to work on roads, buildings and other construction projects for our construction company. You will provide assistance to Construction Manager, Architects, and Engineers in planning and making complete and strong structures. 

As a skilled Construction Worker, you will be responsible to work on relevant projects and deal with machinery and different types of equipment when needed. You must unload and load the raw materials as and when required by you and your fellow colleagues. 

Your duties and responsibilities will also include -

• Making the site ready for construction by digging and leveling

• Mixing and pouring the ingredients to make the cement mix

• Breaking down earth as well as temporary building structures

You should be familiar with traffic signs as you have to regulate the traffic when working on a roadside construction site. You should possess great stamina and persistence to work well. You should adhere to directions and security rules.

Responsibilities

• Help tradesmen and machine workers in construction projects.

• Stabilize and break up with regard for security (e.g. slopes, scaffoldings, ramps, etc.)

• Unload and transfer equipment and material at construction sites.

• Utilize tools and equipment to break old structures and buildings efficiently.

• Utilize explosives to destroy structures and buildings as per directions.

• Formulate construction equipment to construct structures or fill holes (e.g concrete or cement). 

• Plain the surface and level of new cement or other materials.

• Clean out construction sites from debris, hazardous materials, and other discarded materials on time.

• Place construction signals for traffic where required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or relevant degree.

• Proven 2+ years of work experience as a Construction Worker.

• Professional experience in operating equipment like trench rammers, drills, pneumatic sleds or hammers, etc.

• Proficient with blending and pouring construction material, for instance, concrete, sand, grout, etc.

• Outstanding knowledge of basic engineering and construction standards and strategies. 

• Good judgment of weather conditions.

• Outstanding understanding of balance depth perception.

• Capable of working in a team.

• Ability to read guidelines, plans, and blueprints when required.

• Fluent in English language (written and spoken).

• Exceptional physical strength is mandatory.
