Job Overview 

We are looking for a hardworking and energetic Floor Tech to join us on a full-time basis. You should be able to undertake floor cleaning and maintenance activities. As part of your daily activities, you should sweep the floor, clear it of any dust, and mop it using chemical solutions. You should ensure that you adhere to the health and safety guidelines at all times. 

Besides, you should perform timely inventory checks and place orders for the required supplies. Also, you should ensure that all cleaning equipment is handled and stored correctly. Moreover, you should ensure that it remains in working order. In addition to this, you should be able to check and undertake minor floor repairs.  

As a Floor Tech, you should display good physical fitness and a detailed-oriented approach. Moreover, you should be willing to work for long hours. Having a previous work experience in the Construction industry in a similar job role will prove to be beneficial.

Responsibilities 

• Sweeping and mopping floors  

• Cleaning and dusting common areas, cabins, and hallways  

• Measuring and labelling floor cleaning chemical solutions correctly  

• Cleaning floor carpets using shampoo   

• Scheduling regular cleaning and maintenance activities  

• Ensuring all cleaning equipment are stored properly and are in working order  

• Checking and restocking the inventory with maintenance equipment and supplies  

• Adhering to the safety protocols when performing daily activities  

• Moving furniture, other floor items and keeping it back on its place after cleaning  

• Coordinating daily activities and reporting any issues to the Supervisor  

• Inspecting floors for any damage and repair work  

• Clearing trash cans and disposing of the waste properly 

Requirements 

• High school diploma or GED  

• Proven work experience as a Floor Tech or a similar position in the Construction industry  

• Familiarity with floor machines and cleaning tools like buffer, mops, vacuum, and dust mops  

• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations  

• Excellent physical and mental strength  

• Good communication and interpersonal skills  

• Having an eye for detail  

• Good time and organizational skills  

• Ability to work for long and flexible hours  

• Ability to offer excellent customer service
