Our Construction company is in search of a Heavy Equipment Operator to join us. You should be primarily able to operate heavy machinery and ensure it is kept in proper working order. Besides, you should be familiar with the safety and health protocols. You should be able to conduct regular machinery maintenance checks and schedule servicing appointments whenever needed.
Furthermore, you should be able to help load and unload construction materials. You should maintain and update a documentation of your day-to-day activities and coordinate the same with the Site Supervisor and Construction Manager. In addition to this, you should ensure doing minimal damage and report any such instances to the senior management.
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you should be detail-oriented and display excellent physical dexterity. Also, you should be familiar in operating various heavy machineries. To perform in this job role, you should be able to work at long, flexible hours and in extreme weather conditions.

Adhering to the safety policies and company regulations when operating heavy machinery
Assisting in loading and unloading of equipment
Ensuring that excess materials and wastes are disposed properly
Keeping and maintaining the equipment in a safe manner
Adjusting the machine settings as and when needed
Creating and maintaining a documentation and reports of day-to-day activities
Ensuring that there is minimal damage and reporting any damages to the senior management
Providing the Construction Manager with the estimate of construction materials weight
Inspecting the machinery to check for the tire conditions
Scheduling servicing appointments for the machinery when required
Examining the machinery and offering suggestions on upgrades and repairs
High school diploma or GED
Proven work experience in the Construction industry as a Heavy Equipment Operator, Equipment Operator, Crane Operator, or a similar role
Familiarity in operating heavy machinery like Boom Lift, Bulldozer, and Forklift
Knowledge of safety procedures and policies
Ability to lift and carry heavy loads
Having a keen eye for detail
Highly motivated individual
Good time management and organizational skills
Strong troubleshooting abilities
Ability to work for long, flexible hours and on weekends
A team player and ability to work independently
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage stressful situations
