Job Overview 

We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated Stonemason to be a part of our construction team. You should have good technical and mechanical skills. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and providing the clients with appropriate quote and work completion timeline. 

Besides, you should adhere to the safety protocols at all times. You should display good physical fitness and should be able to lift and carry heavy loads. In addition to this, you should thoroughly clean and polish the stones to get rid of any dust and debris.  

You should be able to work at long hours and on weekends. Also, you should be familiar with using heavy machinery. As a Stonemason, you should be highly detail-oriented and have excellent craftsmanship skills. Moreover, having a proven work experience in the construction industry will be beneficial.

Responsibilities. 

• Reviewing and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings 

• Communicating to the client the quote and materials required 

• Determining and providing the client with the work completion timeline  

• Mixing, layering, and smoothing grout and cement  

• Cutting, shaping, and polishing stones  

• Laying stones as per the construction plan  

• Moving stones from one place to another using machinery like crane  

• Checking and replacing/repairing missing and broken stones  

• Digging trenches and laying out foundations  

• Using leveling and measurement tools to verify the vertical and horizontal alignment of stones  

• Repairing and installing chipped stone carvings  

• Cleaning the surfaces of stone structures using brush and chemical solutions 

Requirements 

• High school diploma or GED  

• Proven work experience in the Construction industry as a Stonemason, Bricklayer, or a similar role  

• Knowledge of safety and health protocols  

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints  

• Familiarity with stonemason tools like chisel, tracer, and plug drill  

• Knowledge in operating heavy machineries like cranes and hoists  

• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long hours  

• Ability to work for long, flexible hours and on weekends  

• Having an eye for detail  

• Good communication skills  

• Highly motivated individual 

• A team player 

• Good mathematical skills 

• Ability to offer good customer service
