Job Overview

We are looking for a Welding Engineer to supervise welding operations at our construction sites. You will be leading welding projects and overseeing other welders. Besides, you should be able to analyze and review the welding procedures and recommend improvement measures, if any.

In addition, you should be able to research and test new fabrication methods. You should also be able to maintain all the welding equipment. Your other responsibilities include liaising with stakeholders and developing new welding procedures. Moreover, you will be in-charge of preparing technical documents/reports.

You should be able to follow all safety protocols while on site. As a team player, you will be motivating fellow welders and ensuring the completion of work on time. Write to us if you can handle all these responsibilities. 

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing a wide range of welding systems

• Maintaining and ensuring all welding equipment is in working order

• Using the latest welding techniques like shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, and flux-cored arc welding, when required

• Supervising the workings of other welders

• Taking charge of welding projects

• Analyzing engineering blueprints and designs for welding requirements

• Reviewing proper implementation of welding procedures

• Generating new welding processes and maintaining a database of the same

• Coordinating with stakeholders and clients

• Keeping a track of welding materials and placing orders when required

• Preparing technical reports and work summaries

• Explaining metal properties to Welders to ensure correct utilization of welding techniques

• Conducting maintenance investigations

• Ensuring all welding work is done using protective gear like gloves, safety hood, and glasses

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• Proven work experience in the Construction industry

• Holding a valid engineering license

• Complete understanding of safety measures

• Up-to-date with the latest industry developments and welding techniques

• Strong leadership skills

• Good time management and organizational skills

• Attention to detail

• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation

• Excellent analytical skills

• Good mathematical skills
