Our educational institute is in search of an ESL Teacher to join us. You should be able to create a positive learning environment. Besides, you should be able to plan learning activities based on the ESL curriculum. You will also be responsible for gathering and preparing learning resources and materials.  

As an ESL Teacher, you should be familiar with various teaching methodologies and be patient in your approach. Moreover, you should be able to assign project topics to students and assess their performance. Your analytical skills will be helpful in evaluating student progress.  

A successful candidate should have excellent command over the English language. Furthermore, you should demonstrate good patience level. You should also be willing to attend conferences and seminars to upgrade your skills. A candidate displaying reliable behavior and an open-minded approach will be considered.

Responsibilities 

• Encouraging students to speak and learn in English 

• Planning lessons and activities based on ESL curriculum and methodologies 

• Creating and promoting a positive learning environment 

• Conducting oral and written tests 

• Grading students’ performances and maintaining an accurate record of the same 

• Attending meetings, conferences, and seminars as and when required 

• Gathering and preparing course materials  

• Assigning project topics 

• Analyzing and making a note of students’ requirements 

• Preparing and maintaining students' attendance records 

• Addressing and resolving any student queries and complaints 

• Discussing student performance and progress with his/her parents 

• Communicating with the Principal and Vice Principal about the classroom progress 

Requirements 

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in English Language or English Literature 

• ESL, TESOL or TEFL certification is mandatory 

• 0-3 years of work experience as an ESL Teacher, English Teacher or a similar position in a reputed educational institute 

• Knowledge of various teaching techniques and methodologies 

• Understanding of the rules and regulations governing the education industry 

• Excellent teaching and listening skills 

• Good time management and organizational skills 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Excellent command over the English language 

• Ability to stand for long hours 

• Highly motivated and reliable individual 

• Having an eye for detail and a good listening ear 

• Patient and open-minded individual
