We are looking for an experienced Guidance Counselor to join our institution on an immediate basis. As a Guidance Counselor, your role will be to help and assist students in achieving their academic or career goals.
You will be responsible for designing an effective counseling program and getting student enrollments. You are expected to be always available to support and guide the students who need your advice. Whether it is regarding their career or any other issue, you should always be willing to help students develop academically and intellectually.
You should have a professional attitude with a pleasing personality. Your ultimate goal will be to make our students discover their strengths as well as weakness and help them make better career choices. In short, you should guide them about how they can become successful adults, both personally as well as professionally.

Create a well-organized counseling plan for students with most modern mentoring techniques.
Listen to students’ concerns about their social, emotional or academic issues and provide solutions for the same.
Focus on cultural and societal differences while dealing with the students.
Support students to process their problems, plan actions and achieve goals.
Resolve conflicts between teachers and students.
Improve relationships between parents and teachers.
Provide assistance in creating drug and alcohol prevention programs.
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for students as well as teachers.
Help students determine their strengths and weaknesses.
Monitor student progress and identify behavioral issues.
Enhance the learning environment for students.
Maintain and update student records.
Help with college/university applications and scholarship programs.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or Psychology or Sociology.
3+ years of verified work experience as a Guidance Counselor or School Counselor in professional schools.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Great interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under stressful conditions.
Ability to deal with different student personalities.
Familiar with best counseling practices.
