We are looking for a full-time Music Teacher to help students hone their musical skills. You will be responsible for teaching students to play an instrument while maintaining the tempo and rhythm. You will also be training them in general music styles like rock, reggae, and country music. Besides providing music lessons, you will also be assessing the students’ potential.
You should be able to develop lesson plans as per the education policy and gather all instructional materials. In addition, you will prepare students for plays, concerts, gigs, and for any other school activities. Instructing students about basic instrument repairs and maintenance is also a part of your job profile.
Apart from your teaching responsibilities, you will be coordinating with the other staff members for events and maintain a positive work environment. If you can help students sharpen their skills and create original pieces then do write to us.
Teaching musical instruments like piano, guitar, and violin
Helping students understand and read music notes and scales
Training students for events, private musical performances, and concerts
Gathering the required teaching materials
Assessing students’ performance and giving private lessons
Coaching students on voice modulation and tempo
Explaining different styles and genres of music
Conducting music theory and practical examinations
Helping students tap on their potential
Suggesting additions and improvements in the curriculum
Coordinating with staff members in organizing extracurricular activities
Maintaining and encouraging a fun and positive atmosphere in the music class
Bachelor’s degree in Music
Holding a valid music teaching certificate or license
Proven full-time or part-time work experience as a Music Teacher in public schools, private schools, or elementary school.
Excellent knowledge about different music genres and instruments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Demonstrating a passion for music and high patience levels
Ability to assess students potential and skills
Ability to lead a choir, orchestra, or a concert
Ability to conduct extracurricular activities and musical performances
Understanding of the state educational policies
Strong instrumental skills
Ability to maintain a positive and fun classroom environment
