We are looking for a competent Chemical Engineer to join our Engineering department. You will be largely responsible for regulating the procedures in chemical engineering, food processing, as well as fuel and pharmaceutical operations. You should be able to plan and design equipment layout besides monitoring and optimizing its performance. You should be able to review and undertake problem solving measures in accordance with the company policy.
You will be responsible for conducting tests on the chemical processes and communicating the results with the Senior Management. Furthermore, you should be able to suggest quality and performance improvement measures. Your other responsibilities include analyzing chemical reactions, implementing corrective actions and undertaking waste management of raw materials.

Researching, implementing and optimizing production and manufacturing processes
Planning and creating equipment layout
Following safety procedures when working with dangerous chemicals
Estimating production costs and assisting in budget planning
Performing chemical analysis and preparing detailed reports
Visiting work sites and inspecting the work in manufacturing units
Conducting tests to analyze product performance
Communicating test results with team members to improve product line
Providing training and technical support to inexperienced team members
Liaising with Control Engineers, Project Engineers and Process Chemists
Designing equipment layout to suit the product requirements
Suggesting new technologies to optimize plant operations
Implementing corrective measures to achieve project goals
Commissioning new production/chemical plants and implementing waste management procedures
Scheduling work to meet timelines and budget constraints
Participating in maintenance and engineering programs to upgrade skill
Conducting daily operations and large scale work in accordance with the company laws and regulations
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or similar discipline
2+ years of experience in the Engineering Department
Basic understanding of fluid dynamics and other engineering principles
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
Strong communication skills
Strong technical background and exhibiting problem solving skills
Holding a valid engineering license
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools
Knowledge of industry laws and safety standards
Excellent time management and leadership skills
Eye for detail
