We are looking for a highly organized Shipping Clerk to be a part of our Logistics department. You will be responsible for receiving and shipping orders upon verifying necessary details like weight and contents. You will be required to adhere to all safety standards and company policies while performing your day to day activities.
You will be responsible for proper maintenance of the stockroom and timely updating of inventory records. Moreover, you will be troubleshooting customer queries and diverting unresolved issues to the Customer Service department.

Processing and obtaining shipments
Scheduling urgent shipments on priority
Maintaining and updating inventory
Cleaning and organizing company stockroom on a regular basis
Planning logistics to accommodate incoming shipments
Verifying and updating shipment records
Adhering to established safety standards and complying with company policies
Troubleshooting customer queries on shipment status
Processing urgent customer queries to the Customer Service department in a professional and timely fashion
Using machinery like pallet jacks and forklift to lift heavy items
Monitoring status of ongoing shipments
Communicating with drivers for faster delivery
Ensuring all shipment details like postal charges, weight are mentioned on the package
Keeping Production Supervisor informed about shipment status
Verifying shipping documents and invoices
Preparing freight quotations as per the shipment weight, delivery location and shipping mode
Maintaining cleanliness of the warehouse at all times
Entering shipment information in the database
Checking and labelling shipping containers as per their contents
Tracking incoming shipments via its AWB number
Ensuring large shipments are stocked properly in the stockroom
Processing pending shipment invoices to the Accounting department
Ensuring all shipments are packed and shipped according to the company standards
High School or Diploma in any subject
Proven work experience in the Logistics field
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to prepare spreadsheets
Familiarity with shipment tracking software like Shiprocket, Aftership and Wetrack
Excellent administrative and organizational skills
Good communication and analytical skills
Familiarity with warehouse machinery like forklift and pallet jack
Good physical dexterity
Eye for detail
Multitasking ability
Good mathematical skills
Ability to lift heavy objects
Ability to provide high level of customer satisfaction
