Job Overview 

We are looking for a Candle Maker with a skilled hand and creative abilities to join our retail business. You should be able to string candle wicks together using your hand or a dipping tool. While doing this, you will be required to select appropriate dipping containers.

You will be pouring molten wax into dipping moulds to give them the desired shape. Besides, you should add different colors and scents to molten wax to make the finished products appealing to the senses.

Moreover, you should have extensive knowledge of different wax types and a quick hand at work. You should also have a detailed-oriented approach to help you create intricate candle designs. In addition to this, you have good mental and physical stamina.

Responsibilities

• Stringing together candle wicks with hand or dipping machinery

• Preparing and pouring molten wax in the correct container size

• Giving different shapes to the molten wax using varied dipping molds

• Trimming, cutting, and dyeing candles as per the specifications

• Preparing large quantities of candles on a regular basis

• Using hand tools like knife and scraper to cut and trim candles

• Adding different types of scent to molten wax 

Requirements

• High school diploma in any subject

• Previous work experience as a Candle Maker or in the retail industry

• Complete understanding of different types of candle waxes like paraffin wax and bees wax

• Familiarity with the industry standards and regulations

• Knowledge of hand dipping and dyeing techniques

• Basic understanding of using different types of dipping machines

• Ability to identify and match different candle scents such as floral, citrusy, and woody

• Knowledge of the latest trends and designs in candle making

• Quick and artistic hand

• Having an excellent eye for detail

• Ability to remain standing for long periods

• Familiarity with varied hand tools

• Ability to work collaboratively and independently

• Highly creative and agile

• Excellent time management and organizational skills
